Judge orders husband to take
abused wife to Red Lobster
You hope that a sitting judge has the wisdom to hold the position but more and more often they display a lot more lunacy than wisdom. Just when you think you have seen the worst, Judge ‘Dumber than the Last’ pops up. Usually you see bonehead judgements in civil suits but now the the legal lunacy has made it into the criminal courts.
This Judge handles a domestic violence case by ordering the abuser to do what they do best, follow the cycle of abuse.
- Beat the crap out of your wife/husband/significant other
- Act in a contrite manner (Wine,dine and romance them)
- Beat the crap out of them even more severely
- Repeat step 2
- Continue the cycle until the wife/husband/significant other wises up and leaves you or you manage to put them six feet under.
I don’t care if she didn’t want anything ‘bad’ to happen to him. Too many of the abused are locked into the cycle themselves believing that they did something to deserve the abuse or that the abuse is a sign of ‘love’. And Asking the victim if they are afraid of their abuser with the abuser present? Of course she is going to say no. She knows what she would get when he got her home that night. Domestic violence is not a joke and is not something to be taken lightly.
I wonder what other stupid decisions this judge has up his sleeve?
I almost don’t even believe this.
Things are getting more ridiculous by the second.
You really have to wonder what type of person the judge is to make a ruling like this! Is this what he does with his own wife? Shove and smack her around threaten to hit her and then take her out to dinner?
